Junwen Guo is a researcher at Umeå University with expertise in One Health, environmental epidemiology, and ecological science. Her work focuses on understanding how climate change influences the spread and dynamics of infectious and zoonotic diseases.
With a background in animal, environmental science, and public health, she integrates One Health approaches to investigate disease risks in the context of climate change. Junwen also serves as a mentor and collaborative committee member of the CSID network for the ongoing fellowships and is the lead organizer of the ENBEL 2023 and upcoming ENBEL 2025 international conferences. Actively engaged with the WHO as a technical consultant, she contributes to the Research Agenda for Action on Climate Change and Health (REACH 2035) and the COP29 special report on climate change and health. Junwen also manages EU-funded Horizon projects and holds a Mini MBA from the University of Toronto, strengthening her leadership in interdisciplinary research and policy translation.
