COST LILY
Short-term scientific missions

What are Conference Grants?

Conference grants are attributed solely for oral/poster presentations, and the applicant’s contribution must be listed in the official event/conference programme. The main objective is to present their work at high-profile international conferences, helping disseminate LILY results and strengthen professional networks.

The grants are a contribution to the overall travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses, as well as conference fees, incurred by the selected participants.

There are 2 types of grants:

1. ITC Conference Grant
2. Dissemination Conference Grant
3. YRI Conference Grant

Details

Up to  €2 500,00 per grant for face-to-face conferences
or €500 for online conferences per person per conference, intended as a contribution to related costs; application and reporting are carried out via the e-COST platform.

Preference is given to those from ITCs and to ensuring diversity and inclusion.

Applicants must submit a scientific report and supporting documents after the conference.

Eligibility and selection criteria, the necessity for alignment with project objectives, and the obligation for successful applicants to acknowledge COST support in their presentations, are all described as central aspects of the Conference Grants scheme. The grants function as a way to foster professional development, increase visibility of LILY’s results, and build networking capacity among early-career and ITC-based researchers.
